Square One History

Square One is a restaurant chain fully created in Armenia aiming to provide a superior eating experience in a trendy environment. It all began when two partners, Sam Samuelian and Stepan Panosian wanted to start a business which would not only promote Armenia as a hospitality destination, but also be fun to do!

Our first flagship outlet opened its doors on August 1, 2004. Thanks to our incredible guest response and loyalty, in our 3 years of operations, our company has expanded into a three-branch network that provides quality atmosphere with clean food in a friendly setting for our guests.

After serving over 1.5 million satisfied customers since opening day, we continue to be dedicated to developing the restaurant industry in Armenia. It is our customers’ good taste and loyalty that has put Square One on the map, and we aim to continue to provide great service and high quality to you.

On June 1 of 2006, Square One opened its newest operation at the Departures Terminal of the Zvartnots International Airport.

SquareOne along with 4 other leading restaurant companies founded the Armenian Restaurant Association. Square One is the acting president of the association, whose goal is to improve the quality standards of restaurants in Armenia through providing training, support and networking for its members and their staff.
